I go out to the gardens about once a week or so. Right now there still are a lot of Dark-eyed Juncos. There are fewer Pine Siskins, but still quite a few. Golden-crowned Sparrows are still hanging around too. There are quite a few more House Finches than previously. What is worrisome is how many of them are blind or have diseased eyes. The feeders at the garden look none too clean, so that may be the problem. A few House Sparrows are around. There are increasing numbers of Red-winged Blackbirds too. Rounding out the usual suspects list were Steller's Jays, Black-capped Chickadees, Spotted Towhees, and Fox Sparrows. I'm still waiting for the Rufous Hummingbirds, but the Anna's were around.
