Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday February 26. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls
at 503-233-3976.

The Nestucca NWR TUNDRA BEAN GOOSE continues to be seen. On February 23 a
?BEWICK?S? TUNDRA SWAN was at Finley NWR. The Milwaukie BLACK-AND-WHITE
WARBLER was seen again February 21 in the same area as before. The February
21 offshore boat trip out of Newport found eight LAYSAN ALBATROSS and two
PARAKEET AUKLETS.

PINE GROSBEAKS were reported during the week along Dead Indian Road east of
Ashland, in the Santiam Pass area, and near Corvallis and in Bend.

On February 19 a bright white GLAUCOUS GULL was at Seal Rocks State Park.
That day a BARROW?S GOLDENEYE was at Yaquina Bay. A LESSER YELLOWLEGS was at
Ridgefield NWR February 25. BALD EAGLES are now gathered on the Columbia
River at the mouth of the Cowlitz River. 237 were counted there February 25.
On On February 18 an OSPREY was at Biggs in the Columbia River Gorge. A
BRANT was seen February 19 at Finley NWR.

On February 20 a SANDHILL CRANE was at Black Butte Ranch west of Sisters.
Good numbers of CEDAR WAXWINGS are now in Bend.

The GYRFALCON, BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS, PINE GROSBEAKS, and other Wallowa Valley
specialties continue to be seen.
