Black Brant in the middle of Puget Sound are a common occurrence. Every
year, we observe dozens in the middle of the sound during the pelagic trip
for the Seattle CBC. Even during the winter, there still is flotsom in
convergence lines consisting of eelgrass and other aquatic vegetation that
they feed on.
