Correction: looks like this was a case of bad lighting, bad angle, and
choosing the wrong similar sparrow from my Sibley guide, it *is* actually a
juvenile golden-crowned. Thanks to Dave S for pointing out my mistake about
the central strip on tan-striped white-throated sparrows.
