Just to add to Martha Jordan?s posting: after Dennis Paulson mentioned this book a few weeks ago on Tweeters, I went to the web site and ordered a signed copy, which it appears Chris packed up and took to the post office the very next day. I have been enjoying the incredible, and incredibly detailed art, with its many layers of cleverness, showing Chris? familiarity with and love for his subject(s) for many hours.

For what it?s worth (and as if it wasn?t obvious from the above) like Dennis and Martha, I highly recommend this publication.

I suspect Larry Hubble would appreciate ?Hummersucker? given his most recent posting.

Perhaps some of you have come to know Chris Maynard. He is a local artist, and so much more, who has a unique way of working with feathers in his art. He has a new book out:

Feathers, Form and Function. You can find out more about it at: http://www.featherfolio.com/feathers-form-function/

You can get it on line or wait until its? public release to general book stores and more in March 2015.
It is worth reading.
