I know that Dave Templeton first reported two immature golden eagles at first sighting by him. For whatever reason, I have never seen more than one until perhaps today. I believe I encountered Debra Lewis today and she was convinced she had seen two today. I believe she is right. At one point I thought I had a good view of two flying side-by-side with the same bar pattern on the tails. However, I don?t consider myself an authority on golden eagles, so no bets. Having said all that, I have photos from today of golden eagles at two locations on my website. The interval between encounters was short and the circumstances made it seem unlikely they were the same bird. Not impossible, but unlikely. Photos at:
