Amazed to hear the first flicker drumming on the flue this morning - seems a bit early.
But then yesterday I did see the Anna's hover near the fluff ball - checking out her source of nesting material. It was the end of February when I first spotted
her building a nest in our pine.

Oh, the sounds of spring to come...
