Today Bob Bagwell and I birded in the Neah Bay area. The ORCHARD
ORIOLE was coming to the feeder at the corner of Bay View Ave and Lincoln.
We believe we saw two orioles coming to a feeder at the same time and so
the BULLOCK'S ORIOLE may still be in the area. There was also a
ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER coming to drink nectar. The hummingbird feeders
hosted as many as three HOUSE SPARROW at a time.

In the Waatch Valley we found a beautiful male PINE GROSBEAK that we viewed
from as close as 35 feet. The deep red color on this bird seemed to glow.
It was below the sewage ponds and along Cape Flattery Road. At an overlook
near Hobuck Beach we viewed a BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE.

At the county park in Clallam Bay we had a single BARN SWALLOW.

We talked with Kevin Johnson, the gentleman who has all the feeders up for
the Orchard Oriole. We gave him some money for purchasing sugar for the
hummingbird feeders and he asked that I post a request from him that if
anyone has a good picture of the Hobby that he would like a copy mailed to
him.
