Hi Tweeters!!

I looked out just a bit ago while making lunch and noticed some movement by the 'fluff ball' (nesting material). Sure enough there was an Anna's plucking away and then it headed up - somewhere nearby, yet to be determined. (It's a bit earlier than last year - the first I noticed activity last year wasn't until Feb. 27 - with broken foot.) When I saw the nearly complete nest last year it wasn't until Feb. 27, so perhaps I'd missed much of the building.

Hope I'm "not putting all my eggs in one nest" and assuming we'll have another great hummer experience this year, but it's sure hard not to. But then any hummer experience is great.

If it does happen - I can assume I won't get much else done! Is there such a thing as a hummer drone? Oh wait, they are one!

Stay tuned.

Caryn / Wedgwood

Anna's was my 'first bird' of the year too. ;-)
