Hi All,

I have been wandering the north side of Leavenworth in search of the Bohemian Waxwing flock. Haven't found it, but did just have wonderful street views of a NORTHERN PYGMY-OWL. It is at the T intersection of Stafford and Ogrady, just north of Ski Hill Drive. The bird is on a low branch of a birch tree at the front of the yard, with some Steller's Jays making a ruckus. The house has a for sale sign in front. I pointed the bird out to the owners, who feed birds, and they are thrilled to have it as a yard bird. They seem welcoming but if the bird stays where it is now, you don't have to leave the street. A bonus was five PINE GROSBEAKS at the top of a spruce tree several houses to the west.
