Driving west to Silvana on Pioneer Highway this morning, I saw a hawk
perched on the phone/power line on the right side of the road. It was
turned about 3/4 away and, of course, I was driving so only got a
glimpse. My wife had a better look.
It had a dark gray back with white speckles (my wife said it looked
like a Wyandot chicken) with a light colored head.
Could it actually have been a Gyrfalcon? Anyone else seen one in the area.
