Subject: [Tweeters] Gyr ID

Quick, reliable field mark for gyrs when perched is to look for the length
of the primary flight feather tips in relation to the to end of tail. They
should terminate from half to 2/3rds of the way down the tail.

Gyrs have famously long tails.

In contrast, Prairie and Peregrine primaries will end near the tip of the
tail.

Hope this helps.
