Apparently not seen since January 1st, the Avocet was in car park by the Everett Waterfront Boat Launch this morning about 11 am. It was roosting with the large flock of Gulls that usually can be found here. It was around high tide which may have encouraged the bird to leave Jetty Island where I presume it spends a lot of time.
