Given the property-owner's actions were as stated, and I was on public property viewing the bird, as soon as he touched my equipment I'm afraid I might have reverted to a role I had in one of my careers. (The cooler heads with me would likely have prevailed.)

At the least, I would have called for WSP support if threatened. I kinda take statements like that seriously.
