The "danger" to the bird is in my opinion, way overblown. Leave it alone and
let it find its own way. Heck imagine if you went travelling on vacation and
the locals decided to relocate you? I agree it would be interesting to put
a radio tag on it to be able to follow it, it is an interesting question why
birds end up in odd places and what happens to them.
