Tweeters,
The weather was pleasant (61degF to start and 71degF at the end) with partly
cloudy skies for the nineteen of us that took in the Eagles Pride Golf
Course today. Highlights included a well-seen/heard BLACK-THROATED GRAY
WARBLER, and a MACGILLIVRAY'S WARBLER that was in the same vicinity. WESTERN
TANAGERS (17) were located nearly everywhere we walked. No crows and no Red
Crossbills -- a definite miss for today. The VAUX'S SWIFT and NORTHERN
ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS were new for the year.
The JBLM Eagles Pride GC birders meet the third Thursday of each month at
8:00AM. Starting point is Bldg # 1514, Driving Range Tee, Eagles Pride Golf
Course, I-5 Exit 116, Mounts Road Exit. Upcoming walks include the
following:
. August 20
. September 17
. October 15
Anyone is welcome to join us!
