I just compared the photo of the Jasper Crested Caracara to one of my photos of the Skykomish bird. Although photos can be difficult, the Jasper bird appears to have the plumage and bill coloration of a first year bird. The Skykomish bird shows adult plumage and bill coloration. Thanks to Joshua for sharing the link to the Jasper visitor. Perhaps Bud Anderson, as our local falcon expert, will confirm these differences?
