Out near Mt. Baker beach in Seattle on 7/17, saw a small heron-shaped bird
going up and down between the beach and the wide steps a few hundred yards
to the north. Could have been a young Green Heron, but the belly seemed
awfully pale. Brown with white streaks on the back, maybe an American
Bittern? Black-crowned Night-Heron? Has anyone else seen him? Whomever he
was, the crows sure didn't like him.
