Belatedly wanted to report a female RED-NAPED x RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKER, showing a clear white supercilium, discreet white chin, extensive white on the back, and some black on the rear crown, seen early on Saturday, July 18. A photo is posted at:

All in all it was a good day (50 species for the 2.3-mile loop starting at the yard, including heard-onlys, but nothing otherwise out of the ordinary, some decent numbers of regular summering species: http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S24320436 Scott AtkinsonLake Stevensmail to: scottratkinson at hotmail.com
