With visions of migrating shorebirds providing the impetus I visited Eide Road and Wylie Slough midday today.

At Eide Road the easternmost pond was completely dry. ?The larger western pond had good water and mud but few birds: 2 Greater and 1 Lesser Yellowlegs and 3 Long Billed Dowitchers. ? No peeps at all. ?4 Killdeer flybys. ?No other birds of note either.

Wylie Slough also had both Greater (3) and Lesser (1) Yellowlegs and maybe 20 peeps. ?A couple of Least for sure and some Western for sure but mostly not able to ID. ?Had hoped for Stilt or Pec or Bairds...none. ?

All in all pretty quiet. ?
