Subject: [Tweeters] Whimbrel at Nisqually NWR

Hi Tweets,
There is a Whimbrel foraging on the surge plain today, just west of the ponded water north of the Nisqually Estuary Trail or new dike and the Twin Barns, during the Wednesday walk. Seems early to see this species during fall migration, perhaps a failed nester. Report to follow.
Good birding,
