I wish I knew my owl calls better! I've no idea if the sound matches up but there are barred owls at Camp Long, not barn owls--or great horned owls--that I've heard about. Would irritated/hungry barred owls make the same sort of noise? (Regardless, it sounds like a welcome change from the usual urban noises!)
