Went to Ridgefield NWR last evening. Not too much variety but it was
rewarding nevertheless.

On the River S road at marker # 2 looking south to Long Lake I saw around
100 Great White Egrets. It was an amazing sight! My guess is with the water
getting low the prey is easy pickings. There must be courage in numbers. I
saw some Egrets bullying a GB Heron. In my experience it's usually the other
way around.

On the Kiwa trail, another fellow and I were able to home in on the hooting
and get some nice views of a GH Owl.
