Joseph and I took a little picnic to the park this evening, and at 8:15,
near the Loop Trail just off the W Emerson entrance, we heard and saw two
Common Nighthawks fly over. They circled around once, and then disappeared
off to the northwest. This is the first time I have seen nighthawks in
Seattle since 1995, and the first time ever in the park.
