This morning around 9 AM there was a Black Tern flying over the fields and along the dike edge at Steigerwald. I watched the bird for some time before I was distracted by an unusual call. I focused in on what appeared to be a Bobolink singing from the top of a willow. Checking and rechecking to confirm I eliminated RW, YH, and Brewers Blackbirds and even checked for grackle or juvenile birds (cowbird specifically) that could fit the bill.
