After I finished by BBS route today, took Sierra back for a look at the dickcissel. The Ellensburg BBS route goes right by Hardy Canyon. It was easily seen in the same area as previously reported, just beyond the yellow flagging. Word of caution is the Mt Clemans Archers are holding a archery shoot this weekend in Hardy Canyon, thus many campers and archers in the area just before the dickcissel. There are no activities in the area the male is singing in, but close by, maybe 200 yards away.

Other items of note on my BBS was a high number of chats, they seemed to be in more places than normal. Had a California gull at Wenas Lake, which is a bit unusual. When I went by about 20 minutes later on the way to the dickcissel it was gone. The marsh on Wenas road just west of Longmire Road had a nice sora walking around in the open.
