Last Sunday morning 4 of us left Seattle at 4:30am to get to Hardy Canyon
early for the rarity Dickcissel being seen. We were rewarded with great
sights and enjoyed watching the bird very much. After Hardy Canyon we made a
quick stop at Bear Canyon because of reports of a pair of Ash-throated
Flycatchers. We were fortunate enough to see one there.



For those that didn't get to see the Dickcissel before it apparently moved
on I have posted a few photos of it, the
Ash-throated Flycatcher and a few other notable Eastern WA birds I saw the
weekend before.
