The neighbors said the bird has been hanging around their houses for several days. Apparently this is where it landed after it left the ball fields on the east side of town. Drive out Highway 2, turn right at the gas station and cross the bridge into Skykomish. Cross the railroad tracks, pass the library, and then turn right onto the W Old Cascade Highway.This is a T intersection. There is a sign that says the road ends in 1.7 miles. In a little more than .5 miles you will come down a small hill and the road turns left. You will see the small group of houses on either side of the road and, most likely, other birders. The neighbors are friendly and have allowed birders to search a backyard or two when the Caracara goes low to the ground. You can?t get lost finding the spot.
