> Upon reading the posts by Matt Bartels and Ryan Merrill, Karen and I set off for Skykomish in search of the Crested Caracara. Luckily we found Doug Schurman who lead us about 100 yards into the woods where the caracara had been sitting on a limb for quite some time.

> To find the neighborhood where the caracara has been hanging out, exit highway 2 into Skykomish on 5th Street and turn right onto West Cascade (not really signed) at the fire station. Proceed .9 miles to the neighborhood.

> To find the ball field where the caracara was previously hanging out exit Skykomish on 5th Street taking a right onto highway 2. Soon you will see a sign for Beckler River Campground on your left. On your right, directly across the street from the campground sign is an unsigned dirt road going into the woods. This road leads to the ball field. If you cross a bridge on highway 2, you went too far.
