Hello Tweets,

A few weeks ago the eBird team announced that since birding from mobile
devices using Birdlog had become such a critical part of eBird development
that they had entered into an agreement with the team that created BirdLog
to take over development and releasing a new improved version as an
official eBird app. (Full announcement here:

It appears as if they have just completed the first step of this process by
releasing the iOS version of the app in the iTunes store:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ebird-by-cornell-lab-ornithology/id988799279?mt=8

They should be releasing an Android version as well in the near future, but
I haven't heard any official timeline yet.
