Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday June 18. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

The WHITE-WINGED DOVE continues at a Scappoose feeder. On June 11 a COSTA?S
HUMMINGBIRD visited a feeder in Silverton. At Silver Creek Marsh near the
town of Silver Lake June 7 was a singing NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH. Two male
BROAD-TAILED HUMMINGBIRDS were seen June 8 near the Warner Ski Area east of
Lakeview. On June 13 a BROWN THRASHER was along the Central Patrol Road in
Malheur NWR near the lone tree south of Benson Pond. A BLACK-AND-WHITE
WARBLER was at Malheur Headquarters June 15. A MCCOWN?S LONGSPUR was
reported June 14 at Malheur Reservoir in northern Malheur County. A LEAST
FLYCATCHER was seen during the week at Fern Ridge Reservoir.

On June 11 an adult FRANKLIN?S GULL was on the beach near Carter Lake in
northern Douglas County. On the North Spit of Coos Bay June 14 were 17
SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS and an adult WESTERN SANDPIPER. A HEERMANN?S GULL was
with a number of BROWN PELICANS at Nehalem Bay State Park June 17. On June
16 a WILSON?S PHALAROPE family was at Ridgefield NWR. Two RED-EYED VIREOS
were seen June 15 at Frenchman?s Bar south of Ridgefield NWR. A CALLIOPE
HUMMINGBIRD was at a Ridgefield feeder June 10. That day a WHITE-TAILED KITE
was along Hwy 6 in Banks. On June 11 a GRASSHOPPER SPARROW was at Baskett
Slough NWR. A BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER was at Beulah Reservoir east of Burns
June 14. A GREAT-TAILED GRACKLE was in Ontario that day.
