An update: the bird was seen flying up the Old Cascade Highway through Mill Town at 8:30 this morning but ducked into the trees west of the houses. The jays and robins have been quiet the past couple hours but an enthusiastic gaggle of birders are keeping vigil hoping for a sighting.
