I just walked outside and for the first time in about 10 years (I will have to refer to my log) a pair of Common Nighthawks were in the air above our property. They appeared to be chasing each other with lots of vocalization!

Real nice to see them again after such a hiatus. Maybe the bats will be returning too!

I must go out more often at dusk. The Mariners can wait!
