Have been quite impressed by the welter of posts regarding Crested Caracara. Has anyone so far suggested that it might have ended up here as a result of one of the severe tropical storms hitting the Mexican west coast, in recent weeks, from Guerrero north through Baja? Might be sufficient to assist such an excellent flier as the C.A. on its way to the P.N.W.

Another recent post has mentioned "June Bugs". My colleague from the Seattle Aquarium, Mark Plunkett, has been watching an adult and two fledgling Barred Owls catching and eating June Bugs, in a dark corner of Discovery Park, 9 - 10pm in the last ten days.
