Ebird checklist birds always show up in your personal list at the My Ebird tab, if you did indeed click the submit button. Go to Manage My Checklists under the My Ebird tab and look to see if that checklist is there. If it is not there, then you did not complete the checklist.

The issue of the volunteer editors pushing a species or a high count out to the public data is separate. If they do not accept it for the public data, it will still be on your personal l ist.
