Around 2:00 pm I found Blairs Bernson's Glaucous Gull at the end of 187th
Ave NE in Monroe. I was fortunate to have around 200 gulls bathing in the
Skykomish river and none of them were flying around or sleeping. The
Glaucous Gull was very easy to find because it was so light compared to all
the other gulls.

Also, at the Monroe prison ponds there was a good number of ruddy duck
males in breeding plumage and around 100 northern shovelers.
