Our Eastside Audubon field trip was a lot of fun on a beautiful spring day in the Cascade foothills. The highlight was an early sighting of an OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER on the trail to Christmas Lake. We all had excellent views of the bird as it sang from a perch above the trail. We had one singing PACIFIC SLOPE FLYCATCHER and a debate about another that did not sing. We had six species of singing warblers seeing at least one of each species. The full list of birds follows.

> Comments: Eastside Audubon Society Field Trip. Thirteen birders joined leader Andy McCormick for a field trip. The weather was clear and sunny with temperature rising to 69F. The wind was calm. We walked from the main parking lot along a path east of the lake shore to the waterfall toward the southern end of the lake. We returned staying close to the lake shore. Then walked north parallel to the Cedar Falls Rd SE and followed the trail to Christmas Lake, and finally returning to the main parking lot.
