Comments: Sharon, Stan & 7 others, Eastside Audubon's monthly bird walk at Lake Sammamish State Park. Cloudy with sun breaks, 46-58F, 0-6 mph. Highlights: 3 BULLOCK S ORIOLES, 2 SPOTTED SANDPIPERS, 5 LEAST SANDPIPERS, 1 PAC-SLOPE FLYCATCHER, 3 BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLERS, 1 VARIED THRUSH, 1 LINCOLN S SPARROW, 1 WARBLING VIREO, 1 PIPIT. (P.S. I was at the park again on 5/4 and heard the "pee-eeer" call of a WESTERN WOOD -PEWEE near the old apple orchard.) Next walk, MAY 15, Bird-A-Thon fundraiser, with a suggested donation of at least $25. No preregistration, just meet in the first parking lot, main entrance, Discover Pass required.
