I heard a Western Tanager calling this morning in south-eastern Shoreline while walking the dog. I had to dust off my mental audio tapes--I knew the sound was familiar, and I started eliminating birds, before all at once I knew. I even checked it on Larkware.
Such a lovely sound.

The low evening sun had just come out from behind clouds, and they were pretty much at eye level only 12? from me. It was the best view I?ve ever had of those beautiful birds.
