Luke Haines and I watched the chat previously reported by Cindy McCormick and others. There is two chats with one staying primarily by the foot bridge on the Steigerwald NWR trail. This one is the one easily seen it perches in a tree about 20 feet off the ground at the edge of the blackberry patch. Look towards the heron rookery. The other bird spends it's time behind the buildings on the Dike Trail. This morning I was lucky the one from the building area paid the other a visit and they were both in front of me while I was on the bridge.

We then drove to SE 80th Street off of Marble Road which comes off of Hwy 14. We found two female Lazuli buntings and a chipping sparrow along the road. Other than that not much else to report.

The chat is # 194. Thanks Cindy McCormick for the heads up.
