This very happy birder is reporting that this morning she saw 2
White-faced Ibis, and 3 Franklin's Gulls at a vernal pond in Doug. Co.
The pond is at the top of Bridgeport Hill, at the intersection of Roads 18
and C. From Bridgeport Hill Rd., go east on 18. The next corner ( 1 mile)
is Rd. C. The pond is in the NE corner of the intersection. Both of
these birds are new birds for me in the county. Also present were Least
and Western Sandpipers, W. Phalaropes, Shovelers, Cinnamon and Gr. W.
Teal, Gadwall, Ruddy Duck, Yellow-headed Blackbirds, several swallow
species, Redhead and Pintail. Sure brightened a rainy day for me!!!!
