I traveled over to Walla Walla Thursday the 14th to check out GGOW and GTTO.
Driving up and back Biscuit Ridge Road I was fortunate to have a GGOW land
on top a small pine directly in front of me at 8PM. Backlit photo available
if interested. Friday, Mike and MerryLynn Denny, myself, and 2 friends
spent the morning on Biscuit Ridge looking for GGOW's, unfortunately with no
success. We did get nice views of Green-Tailed Towhees however. We guessed
there were about 10 or so in the brush calling and moving about.

I want to thank the Denny's for their kind and gracious hospitality Friday
morning. We sure learned a lot about the Blue Mountains and the Walla Walla
area in the course of the outing. There were scads of spring birds viewed
and heard, especially on Tracey Road and Blue Creek Road accessible near the
base of Biscuit Ridge Road.
