After receiving input from several and reviewing both my photos and those of the standing tern by Catherine Temple, the correct ID is Forster's Tern.
ID is based upon tail projection beyond wing tips,?the white belly and?relatively heavy bill??evident in Catherine's photos, and lack of dark outer tail feathers seen in the flight photos.
