Spending the Holiday weekend mountain biking in the Methow Valley has been
great birding! For example, on one ride yesterday in the Sun Mountain area
I had the following warbler-palooza: Yellow-rumped, Yellow, Orange-crowned,
Townsends, Black- throated Gray, MacGillivrays, Nashville, Wilsons,
Yellow-Breasted Chat, plus Lazuli Bunting and three Vireo species! In the
evening, Poor- wills and owls! Too much fun!
