For those tracking progress and interested in Eurasian birds from one of Tweeterland's own: the one-month ROK/Russia trip at last ended Saturday. Moscow added European flavor to the trip list, which finished provisionally at 215 species. The channeled ponds at Beleutovo just south of the city proved to be an excellent site with about 50 species present--the feel was about like walking the Everett STP but not a sewage treatment plant, instead managed for carp fishing. Proporeva Lesopark (mature deciduous forest with a few openings) was also very good. I just uploaded 28 new shots mostly from the first site:
