Hi,
Walked along the trail at Dike 9 this morning. There were 2 Eastern Kingbirds (acting like a pair), They have been breeding in this area and at nearby Spencer Island for many years.
Other birds included Virgina Rail chick (all black fluffball - dark mark on yellowish bill and massive feet) out in open by slough bank. Plus Blue-winged Teal, RB Sapsucker, Western Wood pewee, Willow Flycatcher, Bullock's Oriole, etc.
Cheers, Steve
