I went over to Pacific Co to check out the Loggerhead Shrike reported
yesterday by Jeff Gilligan. I also planned to do a seawatch at North
Head, but got so distracted by the action along Sandridge Rd that I
didn't make it there.

I did not find Jeff's Shrike. I saw a first winter NORTHERN SHRIKE
on 95th St and got brief looks at what looked to be an adult Northern
on 85th (Ryan Merrill saw it better).

While on 95th, I spotted a TROPICAL KINGBIRD across the field to the
south. I managed identifiable photos from a distance. Suzy Whittey
also got to see it, sounds like maybe others did, too.

I found a second TROPICAL KINGBIRD in the same spot on Chinook Valley Rd
were I'd seen two on 10/23. It was actively catching some sort of
large bee-like things with spots on the wings. Also, herds of
RING-NECKED PHEASANT along the dike rd. All males. All suspiciously tame.

There were 122 MARBLED GODWITS at Ilwaco. The light was too bad to
pick out any other godwit types.
