After seeing David Woodall's report of a probable Gyrfalcon near Anatone yesterday, we took advantage of a beautiful day and went looking.
The bird was very obliging and sat on a utility pole next to the highway.

I have not seen a dark morph juvenile bird before, but this one seems to fit.

Also of note were a dozen Gray Partridge and lots of Horned Larks.
