This little guy was sitting in a tree along the trail past the fish
hatchery and bridge just outside of town. We would have never spotted him
had he not almost hit us flying by to land in the tree. We thought it might
be a robin or a song sparrow at the time. We've walked this trail for the
past 10 years or so and never seen a Northern Pygmy Owl. We took some pics
through our spotting scope with an Iphone.
