Ann Marie Wood, Frank Caruso and I visited Neah
Bay today. There was a big storm last night with
power outages but today was mostly beautiful -
changing as we left.
We had a great start as we looked for the Hooded
Warbler on Ba'adah Point Street and had the good
fortune to run into Matt Bartels who located it in
shrubs behind the first house. It skulked and
played hide and seek constantly calling and
responding to calls. A brief sortie out onto the
grass gave us super looks and me some photos.

Later we had the Blue Gray Gnatcatcher on 1st
between Blue Jay and Kal Chote and then a Palm
Warbler in the brush across from the Minit Mart.
We did not find any Tropical Kingbirds, Snow
Buntings or the Tufted Duck.

We tried for Tropical Kingbird in Sequim without
success as well - but it may just have been too
late aswe did not get there until 4:30 and it was
already darkening,
